A group of American businessmen will invest about $25 million in the next three years to create an American-style football league in Europe, organizers said at a news conference in Milan, Italy.
Eight teams from six countries are scheduled to compete in the league’s first season, to begin in April. Each team will have 12 American players and three U.S. coaches, as well as 24 nationals.
