Emergency Help
I want to sing praises for 911 and our local paramedics. As a consequence of my carelessly falling off a roof the afternoon of Nov. 4, 911 was called in Glendale and a few hours later in Los Angeles. In both cases they responded within a very few minutes and those wonderful fellows hustled me off to the appropriate hospital. I am 75 and living on borrowed time after cardiac surgery five years ago. I learned that all ambulances need better springs. When you are all banged up you really feel every little bump.
