SAN DIEGO SPORTS ET CETERA : TCU Leads by 12 in USIU Tournament
Texas Christian extended its lead to 12 strokes after 36 holes of the U.S. International University women’s golf tournament Thursday at Rancho Bernardo Inn’s West Course. A.J. Nealy of New Mexico State took over first in the individual tournament with a four-over 77.
New Mexico State is second and Washington third (646) behind TCU’s 623. USIU is fourth and San Diego State is fifth.
Nealy’s two-round total is 152. USIU’s Yuri Maeda and Peggy Kelly of Pepperdine are tied for fourth at 11-over 157. SDSU’s Wendy Kaupp is tied with Annette Kealoha of TCU for fifth at 158.
