Wild Bill Davison Tribute Slated at Airport Marriott
A musical memorial to the legendary cornetist Wild Bill Davison, who died Tuesday in Santa Barbara, will be held Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Marquis Ballroom of the Airport Marriott Hotel.
Davison’s fellow musicians will gather to sound a few anthems in his honor, according to spokesman Chuck Conklin, founder of the Los Angeles Classic Jazz Festival.
