2 Teen-Agers Found Safe After Night in Forest
Two Altadena teen-agers who became lost while bicycling on dirt roads in the Angeles National Forest were found cold but unharmed by sheriff’s deputies early Monday morning.
Nathan Chandra, 13, and Hans Groth, 14, had been dropped off with their mountain bikes by Chandra’s mother about 2 p.m. Sunday at the Red Box Ranger Station, high above their homes.
When they failed to meet her for a planned rendezvous at 5 p.m., a search team was dispatched. The boys, who were wearing shorts, were found at 2:45 a.m. Monday.
