Favorite Sir Sprite Wins in $25,000 Snark Purse

LAUREL, Md. —  Sir Sprite, ridden by apprentice jockey Mark Johnston, led all the way for a three-quarter-length victory in the $25,000 Snark Purse at Laurel Race Course Monday.

The 7-5 favorite in a field of six sped six furlongs in 1:10 2/5 to pay $4.80, $2.60 and $2.20. Jeweler’s Choice, $3.60 and $2.40, finished second and Chris’ Holiday, $2.40, third.
