COMBAT IN PANAMA : Las Vegas Odds 3 to 1 Noriega Will Be Caught

LAS VEGAS — A Las Vegas oddsmaker has given 3-1 odds that ousted Panamanian leader Manuel A. Noreiga will be caught before Christmas.
Art Manteris, vice president of the Las Vegas Hilton Race and Sports Superbook, established the odds Thursday in the wake of a $1-million reward offered by the White House for Noreiga’s capture.
Manteris noted the odds were offered for information only, since betting on non-sporting events is illegal in Nevada.
