Montclair Prep Back Named All-American
Michael Jones, a senior at Montclair Prep, was named to the prestigious Parade All-American high school football team that was released in the magazine’s Dec. 31 issue.
Jones, a 6-2, 205-pound tailback, rushed for 1,743 yards and 20 touchdowns in 12 games for the Mounties, who finished 12-1 and lost in the Southern Section Division IX semifinals.
The Parade All-American team, composed of 56 offensive and defensive players from 24 states, includes some of the nation’s top talent. Jones is one of eight running backs on the team and is joined by Robert Smith of Euclid, Ohio, considered by many to be the No. 1 prospect in the country.
Jones already has visited Colorado on a recruiting trip.
