SHORT TAKES : ‘Teddy Z’ Out, ‘City’ Sitcom In
“The Famous Teddy Z” is out and a new Valerie Harper sitcom titled “City” will be on CBS Monday nights, the network announced today.
“Teddy Z” will have its final airing Jan. 13, and “City” will make its debut at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 29.
In “City,” Harper plays the city manager of an unnamed metropolis. The show’s heroes are the bureaucrats, the only thing standing between the people and the politicians.
Her character, Liz Gianni, is a widow with a 19-year-old daughter who has returned home after dropping out of college. She also has an intense desire to make things better.
CBS said that “The Famous Teddy Z” will return to the network at a time and date to be announced.
