Wheelchair Maker to Buy 2 Huntco Subsidiaries
Everest & Jennings International Ltd., a Camarillo wheelchair and medical equipment manufacturer, said it agreed to purchase the Smith & Davis and Amedco Health Care subsidiaries of Huntco Manufacturing for $4.5 million in cash and 1 million shares of Everest & Jenning Class A stock. Medical equipment makers Smith & Davis and Amedco, both based in St. Louis, have combined annual sales of about $50 million.
The transaction, which is expected to be completed by the end of March, is subject to regulatory clearances and approval by Everest & Jenning’s board of directors.
