Melkite-Greek Catholic Bishop to Celebrate Liturgy

Nicholas Samra, auxiliary bishop of the Western region of the Melkite-Greek Catholic Church in the United States of America, will celebrate a liturgy on Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Melkite-Greek Catholic Church, 706 S. Lemon St., Fullerton. Bishop Nicholas is the founding pastor of the Eastern Catholic parish in which most of its members are originally from the Middle East. Melkite Catholic originates from the Apostolic Church of Antioch, founded by Ss. Peter and Paul in the first century. The Mission Viejo chapter of Christian Women’s Aglow Fellowship will present Janice Calhoun as guest speaker at its monthly brunch meeting on Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. at A Special Touch restaurant, 24256 El Toro Road, Laguna Hills. A 12-week beginning numerology class will be held Mondays starting Jan. 22 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Sparks of Truth Chapel, 1782 Iowa St., Costa Mesa. Rabbi Mark Miller of Temple Bat Yahm and Rabbi Steven Einstein of Temple B’Nai Tzedek will jointly host a luncheon program on Jan. 23 at 11:30 a.m. at Temple Bat Yahm, 1011 Camelback St., Newport Beach.
