Fund-Raiser Set for AIDS Patients
Patrons at several West Hollywood bars will be asked this month to donate money for people with AIDS.
On Jan. 20, volunteers will be at the doors of Micky’s, 8857 Santa Monica Blvd., asking customers for donations. On Jan. 27, they will be at the Eagle Bar, 7863 Santa Monica Blvd.
Paul Self, executive director for Aid for AIDS in West Hollywood, said donors will receive an “I Care” button.
Aid for AIDS gives cash grants to people in the Los Angeles area with acquired immune deficiency syndrome who need the money for rent, utilities, medical insurance and other necessities.
