Weiss Exits Post: Robert Weiss, artistic director of the Pennsylvania Ballet, resigned his 8-year post Tuesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” between himself and the other leadership of the Pennsylvania Ballet as to the “operations of the company,” according to his letter of resignation, said Scott Robinson, director of marketing for the ballet. The resignation of Weiss and Richard Tanner, associate artistic director, follows rumors of clashes between Weiss and the organization’s new president and CEO, Patrick Veitch, who joined the ballet in August.
