Computer Sciences Corp. to Sell Infonet Stake: Computer Sciences Corp. has agreed to sell its 30% ownership interest in its affiliate, Infonet Services Corp., to MCI Communications Corp. and nine other organizations. The company will sell 25% to MCI, which thereby replaces CSC as Infonet’s largest shareholder. That sale, priced at $27.5 million, is subject to clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act through the U.S. Justice Department. CSC will sell the remaining 5% to nine of the 10 overseas telecommunications agencies that already are shareholders of Infonet. Together, the 10 organizations own 70%.
