Pepsi Puts Spotlight on Teen Stars
The “Pepsi Generation” of advertising stars has taken a decidedly teen-age turn. Pepsi-Cola announced that teen heartthrobs Kirk Cameron, who stars in ABC’s “Growing Pains,” and Fred Savage, star of the hit TV show “The Wonder Years,” will be featured in commercials scheduled to debut Jan. 28 during the Super Bowl.
“Pepsi is focused on tomorrow,” said Michael D. Simpson, executive vice president of marketing. “These talented teen stars keep us on the leading edge.” Actor Michael J. Fox is also scheduled to appear in a new Diet Pepsi ad on Super Bowl Sunday.
