Exporting Morals to East Europe
I was pleased to read Thomas’ column regarding the exportation of American hedonism to Eastern Europe. What a tragedy that the first thing America exports to these beleaguered countries is the decayed morality which we have embraced for so many years. It is particularly ironic that the people of Romania, who were willing to risk death for the sake of freedom, will now kill to keep others from experiencing freedom, too, through abortion on demand.
I agree with Thomas that the only hope for stability in these nations, as well as our own, is Christianity with its absolute moral ethics. I can only hope that the church there will stand more firmly against moral decay than it has here in America.
