WORLD IN BRIEF : ECUADOR : Former President Ordered Arrested

Ecuador’s Supreme Court ordered the arrest of former President Leon Febres Cordero, who is accused of embezzling public funds in a case arising from charges against his son-in-law. “I’m indignant,” Febres Cordero said later in a TV interview. “I have a clean conscience because I am a clean man.”
