Three Ex-Titans to Play in CBA All-Star Game
Three former Cal State Fullerton basketball players, including former Olympian Leon Wood, have been selected to play in the Continental Basketball Assn. All-Star game Sunday in Moline, Ill.
Wood, a guard for the Santa Barbara Islanders, played three seasons at Fullerton and was the No. 1 draft choice of the Philadelphia 76ers in 1984. He will play for the National Conference and compete in Saturday’s long-distance shooting contest.
Tulsa center Ozell Jones and San Jose guard Richard Morton also will represent the National Conference.
Jones, who played at Fullerton for two seasons, was drafted in the fourth round by the San Antonio Spurs in 1984.
Morton played at Fullerton for four seasons and signed with the Indiana Pacers as a free agent in 1988.
