Treasury Note Yields Rise: Yields on two-year notes rose in Wednesday’s auction to the highest level since last September. The average yield was 8.21%, up from 7.71% at the Dec. 19 auction. It was the highest rate since two-year notes averaged 8.39% on Sept. 26. The notes will carry a coupon interest rate of 8.125%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,984.60. A total of $10 billion in notes was sold out of bids totaling $26.9 billion.
