West Covina : New Police Chief Named
Ronald E. Holmes has been named deputy police chief, City Manager Herman Fast announced.
Holmes, 51, is expected to replace Chief Craig L. Meacham when Meacham leaves the 156-member department to serve as U.S. marshal for the Central District of California. Meacham will leave after he is confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
Holmes, a 28-year veteran of the department, has led the department’s investigative and administrative bureaus and is now patrol division commander. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of La Verne and a bachelor’s degree in police administration from Cal State L.A.
