Taxable retail sales jumped 10% from the first quarter of 1989 to second quarter ’89. These most recent figures available also indicate total taxable sales increased by the same amount.

In retail sales, all the cities except Cypress and Los Alamitos scored increases. For total taxable sales, Cypress, Tustin and Villa Park all recorded declines and La Palma was virtually flat. All other cities registered gains.
