Fairfax : Nominations Sought
The Fairfax Community Adult School is looking for residents or people who work in the area to serve on a teacher-student-community council that was established as part of last year’s settlement of the Los Angeles teachers’ strike.
Nominations are available at the school office, and the election will be held on Feb. 13, 14 and 17, said Janice R. Brittain, principal of the adult school.
The council will meet twice a month and will be responsible for policy decisions that were previously reserved for the administration.
More information is available by calling the school office at (213) 653-4085.
