Missing Anchors Resign: Two Waco, Tex., television news anchors who were reported missing last week and then turned up together in New Mexico have resigned from the television station KWTX-TV. The anchors, Wendy Sheldon and Mike Reeder, gave notice Friday during their first meeting with station executives since they left in January, said Virgil Teter, the station’s vice president for news. Police began looking for Reeder, a weekend anchor, when a company car he checked out Jan. 26 was found abandoned at a nearby medical center. The two anchors were found at an Albuquerque, N.M., hotel the following Monday.
