Forli Light Wins at Oaklawn
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Forli Light, a recent arrival from California, shook off a challenge from Peaked on the turn for home and went on to a 3 1/4-length victory on Saturday in the $61,350 Hot Springs Stakes at Oaklawn Park.
Forli Light, owned by David Beard, trained by Ron McAnally and ridden by David Guillory, sizzled the six furlongs in 1:09 1/5, easily the fastest time of the meeting.
The horse, who won for the fourth time in 11 starts, returned $18.80, $8.20 and $4.80. Carry Over, who passed Peaked in the deep stretch, paid $5.80 and $3.80. Peaked, who hung on for third, returned $4.40.
