Hun Oil Signs Pact With Laos: Texas-based Hun Oil Co. has signed an agreement to search for oil and gas in Laos. The official KPL news agency of Laos said the communist government concluded the agreement with the firm, which is to conduct surveys and exploration in southern Laos. Hun is believed to be the first American company to reach an agreement with Laos to help exploit the country’s considerable energy and mineral reserves.
