Boeing to Help Those Laid Off: The Boeing Co. for the first time will offer to help find jobs for the 2,500 employees that it expects to lay off this spring. Boeing will open two out-placement centers early next month to prepare its laid-off workers to re-enter the job market, the company said. Last month Boeing announced that it will trim 5,000 jobs from its payroll this year, most from its Everett, Wash., plant.
