Nation IN BRIEF : WASHINGTON, D.C. : Jackson to Clarify Mayoral Intentions

Jesse Jackson will announce today that he will not run for mayor of the nation’s capital, top advisers to the civil rights leader said. Jackson declined comment after preaching at a Washington church. A spokesman confirmed a Jackson news conference for today “to discuss his mayoral plans” but declined to elaborate.
