Students Attend FHA Conference
Roxanne Coreas and Rudy Cruz of Baldwin Park High School have attended a two-day conference of the California Assn. of Future Homemakers of America-Home Economics Related Occupations (FHA-HERO) in Sacramento. They were among 60 students who toured the capital, met with officials from the state Department of Education and attended leadership sessions.
FHA-HERO is a national vocational organization for secondary students who are enrolled in a vocational home economics program. The purpose is to help them personally and professionally by developing their skills in leadership, citizenship and occupation.
