Storytelling, a poetry reading and performance art...
Storytelling, a poetry reading and performance art will be presented March 31 in a benefit for the needy at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art in Santa Ana. The presentations, 30 minutes each, are free, but the center will be accepting blankets, men’s heavy jackets, sweaters, shoes, sox, toothbrushes and other donations to give to Street People in Need (SPIN), a nonprofit organization helping the homeless. Storytelling, courtesy of Half Magic, a Tustin children’s bookstore, begins at 11 a.m.; poetry by Laguna Beach writer Terry Kennedy at 1 p.m. and a performance art piece by Long Beach artist William Freeman at 2:30 p.m. Information: (714) 549-4989.
