Driver Scott Pruett, who suffered severe leg and back injuries in a crash last Friday, is expected to miss at least three months of the Indy-car racing season.
Pruett was injured when his car slammed into a wall at a track in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Pruett, co-rookie of the year in the 1989 Indianapolis 500, was flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he underwent seven hours of surgery on his legs Saturday and four hours on his back Sunday.
