NATION IN BRIEF : FLORIDA : Analysis Supports Shuttle Launch Date

NASA managers recommended that the space shuttle Discovery take off on schedule from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida April 12 to launch the Hubble Space Telescope. Technicians found that a nut on the landing gear of another shuttle had moved out of alignment. NASA spokesman Ed Campion said analysis indicated the misaligned nut, likely caused by impact upon landing, posed no danger. A final decision on the launch is expected this week.
