From Times Staff and Wire Reports
United Artists Entertainment Co.: The Denver-based cable television and theater company posted a loss of $115 million on record revenue of $1.2 billion for 1989. There are no comparable year-earlier figures because of the company’s merger with United Cable Television Corp. in May, 1989. The firm said interest, certain non-cash expenses relating to the merger and non-recurring charges related to a discontinued operation contributed to the loss.
