SANTA ANA : Boy Critical After Being Hit by Car
A 4-year-old Santa Ana boy was in critical condition Friday after being struck by a car when he ran into the street, police said.
Manolo Guerrero was struck by a black Ford Mustang in the 1100 block of South Standard Street about 5 p.m. Thursday, Santa Ana Police Sgt. Larry Wagstaff said.
Witnesses told police that the driver “had no chance of avoiding the accident,” Wagstaff said.
Guerrero was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he is listed in critical condition. The driver, Jose Cruz R. Cota, 36, of Santa Ana, was not injured. The accident is still under investigation, Wagstaff said.
