Kirkpatrick on the ANC
Once again Kirkpatrick has come to us with an unpopular idea, and once again she’s give us something vital to consider.
Maybe the ANC isn’t the agency of freedom and democracy we want so much to believe it to be. Isn’t it just possible that our sympathy for black Africans and admiration for Nelson Mandela are encouraging us to close our eyes to ugly truths about the ANC?
Remember the idealistic reporters who told us about Mussolini, the man who made the trains run on time, and about Stalin? Look at Eastern Europe now.
