The Continental Basketball Assn. has terminated the Santa Barbara Islander franchise.
The CBA Board of Directors voted to terminate the franchise after the original owners abandoned the Islanders’ operation in February. The league operated the team from Feb. 21 until April 10, when the Islanders’ playoff run ended.
