THE LAST RIDE: Retiring County Supervisor Pete Schabarum is expected to lead an estimated 200 equestrians on a four-hour trip from Marshall Canyon at Golden Hills Road in La Verne to Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas. This last Schabarum Ride is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. today.
RELAY: More than 50 entertainment and sports celebrities are scheduled to run to raise money to fight childhood cancer in the fifth annual Champions Run for Life Torch Relay at the Long Beach Shoreline Aquatic Park at 10 a.m. Saturday.
ACHIEVERS: Six black students from Pasadena schools will be honored for scholastic improvement at an awards luncheon today at the Pasadena Hilton International Ballroom.
JEWISH FESTIVAL: The 17th annual Jewish Festival continues today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Rancho Park in West Los Angeles. Admission is free.
