SOUTHLAND : Batteries Blamed in Disney Fire

A pair of storage batteries that either shorted out or overheated sparked a fire that filled a Disney film production building in Burbank with thick smoke today but caused no injuries and little damage, authorities said.
A Walt Disney Co. spokesman said the only people in the building when the fire broke out about 5:45 a.m. were security personnel. The fire was doused shortly after 6 a.m.
