Marina Infielder Boyd Signs With UCLA

Travis Boyd, an infielder from Marina High School, has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at UCLA.

Boyd, who played point guard on the Vikings’ basketball team, batted .368 in the last eight games of Marina’s drive to the Southern Section 5-A championship and finished with a .245 average. Boyd said he accepted a partial scholarship and will major in business administration.
