Pomona : Construction Slows Traffic
Installation of a new water main and traffic signal and reconstruction of the street will impede traffic on Garey Avenue downtown through October.
Sully-Miller Contracting Co. was awarded the $1.1-million contract. The work, which began this week on Garey between 2nd and 9th streets, includes new sidewalks and landscaping and a signal at Garey and 9th.
City officials said at least one lane of traffic in each direction will remain open during construction.
