Services Set for Doctor Killed in Crash
Funeral services for John Hung Edwards, a doctor who died in an automobile accident, will be Saturday, the family said.
The 30-year-old family practitioner from Mission Viejo was killed Tuesday when his car was hit by a truck after he had stopped to help a motorist who had run out of gas on Santiago Canyon Road.
Administrators at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Office in Mission Viejo, where Edwards was on staff, said they were deluged with calls Wednesday from people expressing their sorrow.
Edwards is survived by his parents, James and Tran Edwards of El Segundo, a sister, and his fiancee, Lucy Robitaille of Mission Viejo.
Visitation will be on Friday between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the White and Day Mortuary, 3315 Sepulveda Blvd. in Manhattan Beach. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Hope Chapel, 2420 Pacific Coast Highway, Hermosa Beach.
