SHORT TAKES : Homecoming for CBS A.M. Crew
CHICAGO — Harry Smith, Paula Zahn and other members of the “CBS This Morning” staff are returning to their roots with a homecoming next week.
The “CBS This Morning” staff, virtually all born, raised or trained in metropolitan Chicago, is bringing the show to Wrigley Field on Monday through Wednesday to spotlight baseball’s All-Star Game.
The show’s hometown personalities say they expect it to be a sentimental journey.
Smith is from south suburban Lansing, and Zahn is from west suburban Naperville.
Weatherman Mark McEwen will appear in a “CBS This Morning” segment with the comedy troupe from Second City, where he once trained while working as a disc jockey with WLUP.
