FILLMORE : Council Restricts Heavy Truck Traffic
The Fillmore City Council voted Tuesday to prohibit heavy truck traffic in the city’s business district.
The new ordinance will take effect late next month.
Three-axle vehicles will be banned on Central Avenue between Main Street and Sespe Avenue, where angle parking on the street leaves insufficient room for large trucks to pass through safely, according to city staff.
Commercial vehicles will be permitted to make their normal deliveries, but parking of any vehicles longer that 20 feet will be prohibited.
