Man Fatally Shoots Sister, Kills Himself
A 38-year-old Ontario man shot his sister to death and then took his own life Tuesday morning during an unexplained attack in the 2400 block of Crenshaw Boulevard in the Mid-City area.
Jorge Edwardo Stricker shot his sister, Carmen Stricker Gonzalez, 31, about 8 a.m. after the two had a brief conversation in the parking lot adjacent to Casa Loma College where Gonzalez was a nursing student, said Detective Patrick Marshall of the South Bureau.
Gonzalez was shot twice, once in the head and then in the upper torso before Stricker shot himself in the upper torso, Marshall said. Police have no motive for the shooting, but Marshall said there had been a “history of tension” between the two siblings.
The two died at the scene and no one else was injured, Marshall said.
