LOCAL : Ninja Robber Hits Pizza Parlor
LAGUNA HILLS — An unidentified armed robber dressed in a black ninja outfit held up a local pizza parlor that was about to close Thursday night, taking more than $200 before disappearing, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.
The robber, described as a male Caucasian, about 5 feet 10, escaped into a large apartment complex near the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Paseo de Valencia, sheriff’s department spokesman Lt. Bob Rivas said today.
Rivas said that the manager and a worker were about to lock up the Pizza Hut Restaurant on Alicia Parkway at 9:55 p.m. when the robber entered the store, pulled out a chrome-plated revolver and demanded cash.
The robber then fled on foot into an apartment complex. Deputies called to the scene searched the apartment complex but were unable to find anyone who fit the description given by the store manager, Rivas said.
Rivas said that the department had not previously received any reports of anybody robbing a store or restaurant wearing a black ninja outfit.
