MGM/UA Communications Co.: The Culver City entertainment company said it had a $21.1-million net loss in its third-quarter, compared to a $7.1-million loss a year ago. Revenue fell 44% to $148.4 million. The firm said it incurred the latest loss “principally because of the expected and previously disclosed decrease in the number of feature films released this year.”
