SAN CLEMENTE : Chamber Will Cure Its Faded Mementos
Something wasn’t quite right at last weekend’s Fiesta Chowder Cook-Off, although you couldn’t tell by the crowds sampling the entries.
Disappearing faster than the chowder were the colors on hundreds of souvenir shirts bought at the daylong event.
The Chamber of Commerce is asking those who bought souvenir sweat shirts, T-shirts and tank tops to return them for repair or replacement.
According to chamber officials, the shirts were not cured properly and will fade after a few washings.
“We really appreciate the support of those who purchased the shirts, and we want them to have a quality souvenir of our event,” said Mimi Collier, chamber director. “If the shirt has been washed, we will replace it, and if it hasn’t yet been washed, it will be cured and returned.”
The shirts should be dropped off or mailed to the chamber office at 1100 N. El Camino Real, San Clemente, Calif. 92672, by July 31.
