August in Seattle: Playwright August Wilson, a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, is moving from St. Paul, Minn., to Seattle because his marriage to social worker Judy Oliver is breaking up after nine years. “I came here originally because of Judy,” Wilson said. Wilson said his work had come between them and their problems had derailed his writing. “It’s real hard to maintain a marriage and do the work at the same time,” he said. “I was never there for her. It simply came down to the fact that she doesn’t want to live by herself.” Wilson, 44, said he chose Seattle partly because it reminds him of St. Paul, where he will maintain an office.
