Cutting Costs, McDonnell Should Start at the Top
Certainly some of the money-saving cuts at McDonnell Douglas (“It’s Back to the Water Cooler at McDonnell,” July 12) are reasonable. But one wonders whether the real savings from all these moves wouldn’t be exceeded by a modest 5% cut in executive costs--salary, bonuses, staff, perks, etc. Are executive dining rooms self-supporting?
