Man Held in Slaying of Brother-in-Law
A man who allegedly stabbed his brother-in-law to death during a drunken argument was in custody Monday after he turned himself in to authorities, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
David Hayes Selma was held at the Foothill police station on suspicion of killing Clifton Joseph Chester, 31, whose body was found early Sunday in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 13700 block of Hubbard Street in Sylmar.
Witnesses said Chester and Selma had been drinking, an argument broke out, and Selma stabbed Chester in the torso, police said.
