Chula Vista
A woman found dead last week in the brush along the Main Street on-ramp to Interstate 5 was identified Tuesday as Guadalupe Maria Montez, 22, through the computerized California Identification System, police said.
Montez was found at 2:55 p.m. Friday by a U.S. Border Patrol agent, who called Chula Vista police. The Metro Homicide Task Force was notified because the woman was known to have been a prostitute, Chula Vista police said.
Her address was unknown, and the medical examiner’s office, which is awaiting laboratory test results, has not determined the cause of death.
